"Earth Tones" Column for Widdershins Newspaper

"Widdershins" is an old word that means to go in a left-handed or contrary direction, i.e. counterclockwise. Widdershins is an alternative-spirituality newspaper published eight times a year in the Pacific Northwest. Since the summer of 2001, I've written a music column for this paper. It focuses mostly on world and folk music, but I've also discussed rock, blues, classical, and other genres. The paper distributes several thousand copies around the region and additionally is available online; the links below are to the online archives and each opens within the frame.
